As of December 31, 2013, the following CDMA phones will no longer be able to send picture and video messages:

  • Samsung SPH-A640
  • Samsung SPH-A680
  • Samsung SPH-A740
  • Samsung SPH-M300
  • Samsung SPH-M320
  • Sanyo MM-8300
  • Sanyo SCP-3100
  • Sanyo SCP-6600

What happens if I try to send a picture or video message?

If you try to send a picture or video message with one of the affected phones you will receive the following message:

Message Prompt
Error: C 26 Please try again. Retry / Cancel

Even if you try to send the message again, it will not go through.

Can I receive picture and video messages?

After December 31 you will still be able to receive picture and video messages with the phones listed above but you will be unable to forward them.

Will I still be charged for sending picture and video messages?

No, you will not be charged for failed or unsent picture and video messages.

What if I subscribe to a rate plan or feature that includes picture and video messaging?

If you subscribe to an unlimited messaging bundle on one of the affected phones, you will be able to send and receive text messages and only receive picture and video messages.

To modify or cancel your rate plan or feature due to this change please contact us.

Note: If you would like to continue using picture/video messaging, visit a Bell store to upgrade your device.
