Changing your rate plan

Solo recognizes that your wireless needs can change over time, so you may need to change your rate plan. Don't worry, we've got you covered.

To find the rate plan that best suits your needs, think about the following questions:

  • Are most of your calls directed to other Solo Mobile clients?
  • Do you make most of your local calls in the evenings and/or on weekends?
  • Do you travel a lot, and need free long distance and roaming?

**TIP** for monthly customers: We recommend that you review your last three bills in order to gain a better understanding of your mobile usage and rate plan requirements.

Good to know

  • When you change your monthly plan, the new plan is effective on your next billing date.
  • When your contract expires, you don't have to do anything. You can keep your current rate plan as long as it's still in our billing system.
  • If you have an older rate plan that's no longer available, and you make changes to this plan, you won't be able to keep it as is, but may be subject to price increases or an overall rate plan change.

If you register for a Self Serve profile, you can change your rate plan online. Or, you can contact a Client Care representative at 1 877 999-SOLO (7656) from a landline phone or #SOLO free from your mobile phone.

Adding features to your account

Personalize your plan with a great selection of features and services. For example, you can add extra airtime to save on usage charges at the end of the month, or download favourite ringtones, games and pictures.

Good to know

  • The bill you receive after adding a feature will show a portion of the monthly fee from the day you added the feature until the billing date, plus one month's fee in advance.
  • If the features you added give you extra airtime, the minutes or free calls will be prorated for the number of days remaining until your next billing date.
  • When you add a feature, it will be effective on your next billing date.
  • Some features may not be compatible with your current account or mobile phone.
