Unlock your HSPA phone’s potential

You love your phone and you want to take advantage of the great plans that Solo Mobile has to offer.

Your Solo SIM card allows you to do that by giving you access to voice and text services and, depending on your device, Internet and select data services. It also stores your phone number, important account information, contacts, and text messages.

Here are a few things about your SIM card that you’ll find helpful to know when you’re activating.

Your IMEI

All HSPA phones have a unique identification number known as the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number, which is normally 15 digits long. An IMEI is the serial number that identifies your mobile phone.

How to find your IMEI

The IMEI number can be found on the white sticker on the back of the mobile phone under the battery pack, or on the box that your purchased phone or device came in. It will also be displayed on the screen of the phone if you enter *#06# into the keypad.

Your PIN

Every SIM card comes with a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to ensure your information is secure. The PIN is set at the time the card is programmed. You can choose to activate your PIN at any time. Once it’s activated, you’ll be prompted to enter it every time you turn on your phone. If your PIN is active and you enter it incorrectly three times, your SIM card will be blocked and you won't be able to use your phone, except for emergency calls. You can unblock your SIM card using your master security code (PUK).

Your PUK code

The PIN unblocking key (PUK) code is a master security code for unblocking and resetting your SIM card code (PIN). For added security, it is unique to your SIM card.
